Laos eSIM

Laos eSIM for city stays and scenic journeys

Keep your Luang Prabang accommodation details handy, check a Vientiane booking or message friends from Vang Vieng with an AloOui Laos eSIM. Choose fixed data or Unlimited Lite, Essential or Plus. Your QR code is delivered by email after purchase, with no ID required for the AloOui eSIM purchase.

Choose your Laos plan

• Lighter use or longer validity: fixed 1GB for 7 days, 2GB for 15 days or 3GB for 30 days provides a total allowance between Wi-Fi connections.
• Balanced short visit: Unlimited Essential for 3 or 5 days provides 1GB of high-speed data daily, then continued data at up to 1.25 Mbps for the rest of that day.
• More uploads or hotspot use: Unlimited Plus provides 2GB of high-speed data daily, then continued data at up to 2 Mbps. Daily-allowance plans extend only to 7 days on this product.

Select your option above for its current price. Prices may change. Always check the product page for the latest prices before purchasing.

Compare selectable plans

Standard Laos Unlimited options are Lite. Daily high-speed allowances refresh each day; reduced speeds apply after that day's allowance is used. Unlimited does not mean unrestricted high-speed data. Fixed plans end when their total allowance or validity runs out, whichever comes first, without reduced-speed continuation. No Premium option is currently selectable.

Laos coverage on Unitel

This plan covers Laos only, not Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia or China. The listed partner is Unitel (Star Telecom), listed up to 4G. This product's provider list does not specify 5G. Available service depends on your device and local conditions.

Mekong journeys, mountain roads and rural visits

Save maps, transport details and accommodation information offline before Mekong boat journeys, mountain travel or remote village visits. Signal can be limited or unavailable on parts of these routes. Plan an appropriate backup way to communicate for remote travel rather than relying on mobile data alone. Coverage in Laos does not extend across neighboring borders.

Hotspot and data-only service

Hotspot sharing is available where supported by your device and network. Shared usage counts toward the same total or daily high-speed allowance. Large uploads, backups and streaming can use data quickly.

This eSIM does not include a local phone number, native calls or SMS. Use internet-based messaging and calling apps through mobile data. If you keep your home SIM for calls or SMS, check its roaming charges and turn off its data roaming.

Install before departure, activate when ready

Use an eSIM-compatible, carrier-unlocked device and stable Wi-Fi to install the QR code from your email. Choose Add eSIM in your phone's cellular or SIM settings; menus vary by device.

Validity starts when the eSIM activates by connecting to a supported Laos network. Installation alone does not start validity. If you are already in Laos, enabling the line and connecting can start your plan.

When ready, enable AloOui, select it for mobile data and turn on data roaming for that line. Disable automatic mobile-data switching to your home SIM where available.

APN and connection help

1. Check that AloOui is enabled, selected for mobile data and has data roaming on.
2. If an APN is required, enter data.esim, leave username and password blank, and save/select it. Some devices configure this automatically.
3. Toggle airplane mode or restart your phone.
4. Start with automatic network selection. If needed, select Unitel.
5. Check remaining data and validity. Do not delete the eSIM while troubleshooting; contact support first.

Get assistance through the AloOui Help Center.

Continuing to neighboring countries?

Choose coverage for each stop separately. AloOui's Asia and South East Asia regional products do not list Laos, so do not replace this Laos plan with either one assuming your Laos stay is covered.
