Three options to test against actual work needs

What problem are you trying to solve?

Identify a real issue: unsuitable roaming inclusions, physical-card handling, missing laptop data or uncertainty about setup. Existing carrier roaming may already be convenient for a managed number or supported destination. Physical SIMs are not inherently insecure, and roaming does not always require new cards.

Choose a representative pilot, not just the easiest phone

Include an approved work phone, a traveller with lighter mobile needs and a heavier user whose destination and device fit. Keep critical work on a prepared backup. Do not use the first pilot to promise service in untested routes or on every employee's device.

For a single-country stay, compare France, USA, China or UAE. These selectors offer fixed, daily and selectable Unlimited Premium alternatives. Fixed 5GB/30-day prices at the latest check were $7.90/$14.56/$20.42/$15.99 respectively.

For heavier 5-/10-/15-day visits, compare available Premium: 30/60/90GB whole-plan high-speed pools, then up to 2 Mbps until expiry, without daily reset. Checked France prices were $40/$60/$80, USA $50/$80/$120, China $50/$90/$120 and UAE $60/$100/$130. USA sharing terms and France Premium hotspot permission need confirmation for laptop use.

Essential is a balanced daily alternative; Plus is a separate higher daily tier, not Premium. Retain fixed options when expected use fits. Do not assume daily unlimited means unrestricted high-speed data.

For regional trips, compare Europe Lite (34 listed destinations), Europe+ (36) and Europe Extra (38). Lite excludes UK/Turkey/Serbia but includes Moldova; Europe+ includes UK/Turkey but excludes Serbia/Moldova; Extra includes all four. Lite and Extra have selectable Premium; Europe+ has fixed/daily choices.

For longer routes, Business Hubs lists 46 destinations and 20GB/60 days or 50GB/90 days. Europe + USA has fixed choices through 180 days as listed. Asia Long Trip has 60-/90-/180-day fixed options on its separate 14-destination list, not the whole continent. For Japan or Hong Kong, check their own selectors; Hong Kong currently has no Premium option.

Count elapsed validity from supported-network connection, including weekends and travel days. A maximum six-month top-up window does not extend a shorter plan to six months or establish rolling expiry. Confirm the actual top-up before relying on it.

No matching fixed-GB Holafly package is established here. For seven days, recorded Germany prices were AloOui Essential $20.83, Airalo Unlimited $24.00 and Holafly Unlimited $27.50.

The seven-day names do not mean equivalent service: AloOui Essential lists 1GB/day high-speed then up to 1.25 Mbps until daily reset. Holafly country pages list 1GB/day sharing; Airalo sharing terms are not inferred from its Unlimited label. Selected lower upfront prices do not establish unrestricted data, identical networks or catalogue-wide savings.

UK Unlimited Prepaid provides a UK number, True Unlimited data for 30 days, 500 UK minutes and 500 UK SMS at the checked $119.08 price. UK-only activation/use; no contract or automatic renewal.

True Unlimited means no fixed data allowance, no daily cap and no automatic slowdown after a set usage amount. Fair use applies to abuse and actual speeds vary. It does not mean unlimited calls/SMS. International calls and premium-rate services are excluded; bank/app verification-message acceptance is not guaranteed.

For a UK number on supported European routes, compare UK & EU Prepaid 5GB/14 days, with 50 minutes/50 SMS across 30 listed destinations. Europe Calls & SMS lists fixed data and 50 minutes/50 SMS per option, without specifying the number country. These are separate number-enabled choices, not added benefits of a data-only regional plan.

Employee productivity: measure tasks, not promises

Test the actual tasks: navigation, messages, approved work apps, uploads and permitted hotspot. Record whether setup and support were manageable. Signal, congestion, device and employer systems affect results. Neither this illustration nor a selected allowance establishes guaranteed productivity or uninterrupted meetings.
