Is iPhone 18 Pro eSIM-only everywhere?
No. Apple's US specifications list dual eSIM without physical SIM support; its UK specifications list nano-SIM plus eSIM and dual eSIM support. A model name alone is therefore not enough to decide whether a phone has a SIM tray or which line combination you can use.

Buying or using a China mainland model?
Apple says non-China-mainland carrier eSIMs cannot be installed while located in China mainland on the mainland-purchased eSIM-supported iPhones described in its guidance. When abroad, installation requires Location Services, and those devices can store up to two eSIMs. Check the current model-specific rules before relying on predeparture installation. If both slots are occupied, ask the relevant providers about your options before removing an existing line.
These device rules are separate from whether a travel package covers mainland China. Destination coverage does not override a phone's installation restrictions.
Check carrier unlocking before buying travel data
On the actual iPhone, open Settings, General, About and read Carrier Lock. Apple identifies No SIM restrictions as unlocked status. If unclear, ask the current carrier. Only that carrier can unlock the phone; a travel eSIM purchase does not remove a lock.

Upgrading to iPhone 18 Pro before a trip?
Keep your old phone and installed travel profile available until each line's transfer options are clear. Moving photos and apps does not establish that a mobile plan has moved successfully.
Your home carrier may support Apple's transfer methods, but that does not establish transfer eligibility for an AloOui travel profile. Ask AloOui about the exact order before deleting it, rescanning its QR code or changing devices. A new purchase does not move an old allowance.

Which travel-data package suits your iPhone?
The phone model does not determine your allowance. Your route, trip length and activities do. Compare your home carrier's included roaming too; another purchase is not automatically necessary or cheaper.

Fixed data ends at exhaustion or expiry without reduced-speed continuation. Daily Essential and Plus allowances reset daily; do not assume a particular local-midnight reset time. Premium's high-speed pool does not reset daily. Standard Unlimited is Lite, with 1GB high-speed daily then up to 512 kbps; Plus is not Premium. None of these labels guarantees uninterrupted high-speed data.

Which Europe eSIM includes a phone number?

The 20GB is shared across 30 days and all included destinations, not per day or per country. This is separate from Europe Extra's 38-destination data-only service. Explore Europe data with a UK number
The UK number's six-month validity is separate from the 30-day package. It does not provide six months of included data, calls or SMS. Verification-code acceptance and delivery are not guaranteed. Read the UK-number buying guide for separate UK-only options.
Prepare your travel line before departure
- Confirm the exact regional model, carrier unlocking and installation-location rules.
- Choose coverage, allowance and validity for the complete trip. Save order details privately.
- Where your device's regional rules permit, install the emailed QR over stable Wi-Fi using your purchased instructions. Label the line AloOui or Travel.
- When ready in included coverage, enable the line, select it for mobile data and apply its own roaming and APN instructions.
- Review the home line separately, then test a small webpage and the apps you need.
Apple supports QR installation and, on applicable software, adding an emailed QR by touching and holding it. Follow Apple's current eSIM setup instructions and the order's supported method. Keep the QR and activation credentials private.
AloOui travel-plan validity begins when the eSIM connects to a supported network in an included destination, not purchase or installation alone. A covered home or transit stop can start the clock before the main stay. Turning the line off does not pause validity, and borders do not restart it or refill a shared pool.
Use two lines without confusing travel data and home charges
On supported models and services, you can retain your home line while selecting AloOui for mobile data. Two active eSIMs and stored eSIM profiles are different limits; storing several profiles does not make them all active.
If you do not want home-carrier data roaming, turn it off on that line and review automatic cellular-data switching. Apply the purchased roaming instructions to AloOui separately. Keeping a home number enabled does not make overseas calls or SMS free.

Maps, hotspot and everyday travel on your new iPhone
Save maps, hotel addresses, essential contacts and accepted ticket formats offline before long train journeys, mountain drives and ferries. Destination inclusion does not guarantee reception at every address, offshore service, a particular operator or 5G.
Where the purchased package, device and network support hotspot, shared traffic consumes the same allowance. Backups, app updates and video uploads can use substantial data. Check sharing terms if a laptop connection is essential; a larger pool cannot create signal.
If the profile installs but mobile data does not work
Check that the destination is included, the correct line is enabled and selected for data, remaining allowance and validity are sufficient, and purchased roaming/APN settings are applied. Start with automatic network selection unless the order instructs otherwise.
