Australia eSIM

Australia eSIM for city stays and road trips

Check your Sydney hotel booking, message friends from a Melbourne café or keep Cairns travel details handy with an AloOui Australia eSIM. For data-heavy trips, start with Unlimited Premium. Fixed Data, Unlimited Lite, Essential and Plus remain alternatives for lighter use or different trip lengths.

Instant eSIM delivery by email. Scan your QR code to install your eSIM without waiting for a physical SIM card. Your plan validity starts when your eSIM connects to a supported network at your destination. No ID is required for the AloOui eSIM purchase.

Our recommendation for data-heavy trips: Unlimited Premium

Choose 30GB for 5 days, 60GB for 10 days or 90GB for 15 days of high-speed data to use across your selected plan's validity. Unlimited Premium has no daily reset, so you can use more of your pool on busier days. After the pool is used, unlimited data continues at up to 2 Mbps until validity ends. Check the selected plan's hotspot terms if you intend to share your connection.

To buy, select the Premium option matching your trip length above and check its current price before checkout.

Compare the alternatives

• Lighter use: compare fixed-data plans for maps, messages and bookings between Wi-Fi connections. Choose enough total data for your trip, not just enough days.
• Balanced everyday use: compare Unlimited Essential with your expected daily usage and selected duration.
• Prefer a daily allowance or a different duration? Compare Unlimited Plus with Unlimited Premium and choose the usage pattern that fits your stay.

Select your exact option above for its current price, allowance and validity. Prices may change. Always check the product page for the latest prices before purchasing.

Plan facts

• Product: Australia eSIM, a data-only travel eSIM from AloOui. It has no phone number and no native calls or SMS.
• Coverage: Australia only.
• Unlimited Premium: a high-speed pool for the whole plan, as detailed above, followed by reduced-speed data. No daily reset.
• Fixed data: 1GB for 7 days; 2GB for 15 days; 3GB, 5GB, 10GB, 20GB, 50GB or 100GB for 30 days. Each is a total allowance for the whole plan, not per day.
• Unlimited Lite: 1GB/day high-speed, then up to 512 kbps, resetting daily. Available for 1, 3, 5, 7, 10, 15 or 30 days.
• Unlimited Essential: 1GB/day high-speed, then up to 1.25 Mbps, resetting daily. Available for 1, 3, 5, 7, 10, 15 or 30 days.
• Unlimited Plus: 2GB/day high-speed, then up to 2 Mbps, resetting daily. Available for 1, 3, 5, 7, 10, 15 or 30 days.
• Plan validity: The purchased plan's validity starts when the eSIM connects to a supported network in Australia, not when the QR code is delivered or the eSIM is installed. Each plan lasts for its selected number of days.
• eSIM top-ups: You can top up the eSIM for a maximum of six months. This top-up window is separate from each purchased plan's validity and does not make a plan valid for six months.
• Delivery and ID: QR code by email after purchase. No ID verification is required for the AloOui purchase.
• Hotspot: Allowed where your device and network support it. Shared data uses the same allowance.
• Setup: Requires an eSIM-compatible, carrier-unlocked device. Turn on data roaming for the AloOui line. APN: data.esim (username and password blank).

Daily high-speed allowances on Lite, Essential and Plus refresh each day; reduced speeds apply after that day's allowance is used. Unlimited does not mean unrestricted high-speed data. Fixed plans end when their total allowance or validity runs out, whichever comes first, without reduced-speed continuation.

Need help choosing?

Use Shop with AI on the AloOui website or app to compare plans for your trip. Tell it your trip length and expected data use, and ask about Unlimited Premium for heavier use. Check the selected plan's coverage, allowance, hotspot terms and current price before purchasing.

Australia coverage and supported networks

This plan covers Australia only, not New Zealand. Connect through Optus, with 4G/5G availability depending on your selected plan, device and local conditions. Access to every part of Optus's domestic coverage footprint is not guaranteed.

Planning rural drives or Outback travel?

Download maps, bookings and route details before leaving towns. Long rural roads, national parks and Outback routes can have limited or no mobile signal. Do not rely on this eSIM as your only means of communication in remote areas. Neither 5G nor continuous reception along a road trip is guaranteed.

Hotspot and data-only service

Hotspot sharing depends on your selected plan, device and network. Shared usage counts toward the same allowance. Check Premium-specific hotspot terms before buying for remote work or large uploads.

This eSIM does not include an Australian phone number, native calls or SMS. Use internet-based messaging and calling apps through mobile data. If you keep your home SIM for calls or SMS, check its roaming charges and turn off its data roaming.

Installation and when validity starts

Use an eSIM-compatible, carrier-unlocked device and stable Wi-Fi to install the QR code from your email. Choose Add eSIM in your phone's cellular or SIM settings; menus vary by device.

Validity starts when the eSIM connects to a supported network in Australia. QR-code delivery and installation alone do not start validity. If you are already in Australia, enabling the line and connecting can start your plan.

When ready, enable AloOui, select it for mobile data and turn on data roaming for that line. Disable automatic mobile-data switching to your home SIM where available.

APN and connection help

1. Check that AloOui is enabled, selected for mobile data and has data roaming on.
2. If an APN is required, enter data.esim, leave username and password blank, and save/select it. Some devices configure this automatically.
3. Toggle airplane mode or restart your phone. Try 4G/LTE if 5G is unstable.
4. Start with automatic network selection. If needed, choose a supported partner listed in your plan instructions.
5. Check remaining data and validity. Do not delete the eSIM while troubleshooting; contact support first.

Australia eSIM FAQs

Which plan do you recommend for data-heavy Australia trips?

Unlimited Premium is our recommendation for heavier use on 5-, 10- or 15-day trips. Its high-speed allowance is available across the whole plan, so busier days are not limited by a separate daily high-speed allowance. See the options above and check the selected price and hotspot terms before purchasing.

Is Plus the same as Unlimited Premium?

No. Plus has a daily high-speed allowance that resets each day. Unlimited Premium has a whole-plan high-speed pool with no daily reset. Both continue at their stated reduced speeds after the applicable high-speed allowance is used.

Which Australia eSIM should I choose for a five-, ten- or fifteen-day trip?

For heavier data use, choose the Unlimited Premium option matching your stay. For lighter use, compare a fixed-data allowance or a daily Unlimited tier. Choose a plan that covers both your trip length and expected usage, and check the current price before checkout.

Why choose Unlimited Premium if some days use much more data than others?

Unlimited Premium shares its high-speed pool across the whole plan instead of allocating a separate high-speed limit each day. This makes it our recommendation for data-heavy trips with uneven daily usage. The pool still has a limit; reduced-speed data applies after it is used.

Which plan should I consider for a month in Australia?

Compare the 30-day fixed-data and daily Unlimited options. Unlimited Premium is offered for 5, 10 or 15 days, so a single Premium plan does not cover a month. Choose the available duration that matches your stay rather than assuming top-up availability extends a purchased plan's validity.

Can I use this Australia eSIM for remote work or hotspot sharing?

Unlimited Premium is a starting point for heavier data needs, but check its specific hotspot terms before purchasing. Sharing depends on the selected plan, device and network, and uses the same allowance. Mobile reception and work-call quality are not guaranteed, especially on remote routes.

What should I tell Shop with AI to get a useful Australia plan recommendation?

Tell it how long you are staying, whether your usage is light or heavy, whether you need hotspot sharing, and your budget. For heavier 5-, 10- or 15-day trips, ask it to compare Unlimited Premium with the daily Unlimited tiers. Confirm the selected plan's details before buying.

Does it include New Zealand?

No. This plan covers Australia only.

Which network does it use?

Optus. Available technology and speeds depend on your selected plan, device and local conditions.

Is Outback reception guaranteed?

No. Remote routes can have no signal. Keep essential information offline and plan appropriate remote-travel communications.

When does validity start?

When the eSIM connects to a supported network in Australia, not when the QR code is delivered or the eSIM is installed. The purchased plan's duration is separate from the maximum six-month eSIM top-up window.

Does it include a local phone number?

No. This is a data-only travel eSIM.

What if there is no internet?

Check that the APN is data.esim with username and password blank, follow the connection steps above, then contact the AloOui Help Center without deleting the eSIM.
