Iceland eSIM

Iceland eSIM for Reykjavík breaks and Ring Road trips

AloOui Iceland eSIM is a data-only travel eSIM for Iceland. Choose fixed data from 1GB to 100GB, Unlimited Lite, Essential and Plus for up to 30 days, or separate Premium options for 5, 10 or 15 days. Listed networks are Síminn, Vodafone and Nova, with support up to 5G where available.

Keep your Reykjavík hotel address handy, check a South Coast booking or message your Akureyri host where supported service is available. Your QR code is delivered by email after purchase. No ID verification is required for the AloOui purchase; local legal requirements may differ.

Choose your Iceland plan

• Lighter use: compare fixed 5GB or 10GB for 30 days for maps, messages and bookings between Wi-Fi connections.
• Balanced daily use: Unlimited Essential includes 1GB of high-speed data daily, then data at up to 1.25 Mbps.
• More uploads or hotspot use: Unlimited Plus includes 2GB of high-speed data daily, then data at up to 2 Mbps. Plus is not Premium.
• Separate Premium choices: 5-, 10- and 15-day Premium variants are selectable. Confirm the selected option's allowance, speed policy and hotspot terms before checkout; do not apply Lite, Essential or Plus rules to Premium.

Compare selectable plans

Standard Iceland Unlimited options are Lite. Daily high-speed allowances refresh each day. Unlimited does not mean unrestricted high-speed data. Fixed plans end when their allowance or validity runs out, whichever comes first, without reduced-speed continuation. Actual speeds depend on available connectivity. Premium remains distinct from Plus and Platinum.

Iceland networks and coverage

The provider list specifies Síminn, Vodafone and Nova with support up to 5G. Connection and speeds depend on your device, supported partner and local conditions; 5G is not guaranteed everywhere. This product lists Iceland only, not Greenland, the Faroe Islands or other destinations.

Highlands, Westfjords and remote drives

Save maps, tickets and accommodation details offline before leaving reliable coverage. Reception can vary in the interior Highlands, along F-roads, on remote Westfjords routes and around mountain or glacier areas. A country entry does not confirm reception at every Ring Road stop, trail or lodge. Check with support before purchase if connectivity at a particular property is essential.

Check road access, weather and local safety advice separately from connectivity. Do not rely on continuous mobile data for remote navigation, glacier excursions or boat trips. Satellite and maritime networks are not included.

Hotspot and keeping your existing number

Hotspot use depends on the selected plan, device and network; shared usage counts toward the same allowance. This data eSIM does not include an Icelandic phone number, native calls or SMS. Internet-based messaging and calling depend on connectivity and app availability.

You can keep your home SIM for calls or SMS if your device supports the arrangement. Check its roaming charges, turn off its data roaming and avoid automatic data switching.

Compatibility, installation and activation

Check that your exact device model and regional version support eSIM and are carrier-unlocked. Install the emailed QR code over stable Wi-Fi using Add eSIM in your cellular or SIM settings.

Validity starts when the eSIM first uses data on a supported network in Iceland. Installation alone does not start validity. If already in Iceland, enabling the line and connecting can start the plan. When ready, enable AloOui, select it for mobile data and turn on data roaming for that line.

APN and troubleshooting

1. Check that AloOui is enabled, selected for mobile data and has data roaming on.
2. If an APN is required, set it to data.esim, leaving username and password blank. Save/select it; some devices configure this automatically.
3. Toggle airplane mode or restart your phone.
4. Start with automatic network selection; if needed, select a listed supported partner and move to a stronger-signal area.
5. Check remaining data and validity. Do not delete the eSIM or repeatedly scan a one-time QR code while troubleshooting.

Contact the AloOui Help Center with your order number, device model, location and error screenshots if service still fails.
