Arriving in Chengdu
Save the arrival airport on your ticket, accommodation address and transfer instructions while on Wi-Fi. After following your selected plan's activation guidance, supported mobile data can help with directions into the city. Check transport providers for current schedules and fares. An eSIM does not include an airport transfer or guarantee reception in every terminal or underground station.
City visits and onward Sichuan travel
Use supported data for directions to your hotel, prebooked attractions and meeting points. If your plans include panda-related visits or travel beyond Chengdu, save entry details, tickets and offline maps before setting out. Coverage depends on local networks, terrain, buildings and congestion, and a larger data allowance cannot create signal on remote routes. Important: this eSIM does not independently guarantee access to specific websites or apps or remove the need for a VPN. Check current app availability and restrictions before travel.
Install and troubleshoot
- Choose a China plan and duration, complete checkout and open the emailed QR code on another screen.
- Connect an unlocked, eSIM-compatible phone to stable Wi-Fi. On iPhone, open Settings > Cellular/Mobile Data > Add eSIM > Use QR Code. On Android, find Add eSIM in SIM manager or Network & internet; labels vary.
- Scan the code, label your new line AloOui and follow your delivery email. Do not delete the installed eSIM.
- On arrival, choose AloOui for mobile data and follow the selected plan's activation guidance. If data fails, check validity, mobile data and instructed roaming on that line, toggle airplane mode, compare the APN data.esim with your email and try automatic network selection.
