eSIM Not Working After Arrival? Safe First Connection Checks
Landed with an installed travel eSIM but no working data? Keep the profile installed while you check destination coverage, the selected data line and your order instructions. This arrival checklist helps you identify the next useful step for your phone and plan.
Start with your existing order
Use airport or hotel Wi-Fi where available to open your order instructions and the AloOui Help Center. Do not buy another plan as the first fix: a purchase will not unlock a phone or resolve an unsupported destination.
For a future trip only, the checked regular France 1GB / 7-day example was $3.03 on 9 October 2026. Prices may change. Always check the product page for the latest prices before purchasing.
Future-trip examples, not connection fixes
These France fixed-data options were checked in USD on 9 October 2026. Allowances are total pools, not daily allowances. Choose the pool for your expected use, not as a way to improve signal.

First identify which problem you have
No profile installed
This is an installation issue, not simply a destination connection issue. Check stable internet, exact-device eSIM support, unlocked status and the order's installation method. If a code is rejected or already used, share the precise message privately with support.
Profile installed, no usable data
Keep the profile installed. Check the covered country, mobile-data selection, required roaming, validity and APN instructions before assuming a new download is needed.
1. Confirm your arrival country is included
Read the selected plan's exact country list, including any transit stop where you need data. Check each country individually rather than relying on a regional plan name.
For AloOui travel eSIMs, validity begins when the eSIM activates by connecting to a supported destination network, not simply installation or email delivery. Separate services such as UK Prepaid have their own UK-only activation and service rules. Check any activation deadline in your order instructions.
2. Select the intended travel line for mobile data
Open your phone's SIM, Cellular or Mobile Data settings. Confirm the intended AloOui profile is present, enabled and selected for mobile data. Menu names vary by device and software. Make sure airplane mode is off when testing registration.
Check your exact model and regional version support the selected eSIM service and that the phone is carrier-unlocked. Compatibility can differ between regional versions of the same model.
3. Apply roaming settings to the right line
Enable data roaming on the travel line when its order instructions require it. Keep home-line data roaming off if you do not intend to use your home carrier's roaming data, and review automatic data switching where supported.
Do not turn roaming off indiscriminately on every line. Calls and SMS on your home line have separate carrier terms and may incur charges.
4. Check APN and supported network registration
Follow the instructions supplied for your exact order. Only enter or change an APN when those instructions or AloOui support require it. Use the supplied APN and field values, leave fields blank only when instructed, and preserve unrelated settings. If manual configuration appears necessary but no values are supplied, ask support rather than guessing. Some devices configure the APN automatically.
Automatic network selection is the starting point. If the order or support directs manual selection, choose a supported network for that exact plan. A network appearing in the phone's search list does not establish entitlement.
After installation is complete, a brief airplane-mode toggle or restart may refresh registration. Avoid interrupting an active profile download. If service still does not work, continue with the allowance checks and support details below.
5. Distinguish no data from reduced-speed service
Check plan validity and the applicable allowance. A daily high-speed allowance or whole-plan pool may have been used, with reduced-speed terms now applying. Unlimited does not automatically mean unlimited high-speed data.
A phone's usage counter is useful for app activity but may not match the provider's allowance or reporting time. Ask support if the order's remaining allowance or available top-up options are unclear.
Avoid destructive troubleshooting
Do not delete an installed profile unless support instructs you to. Ask support before changing phones or trying to reinstall it. Check whether the profile is already installed if a QR code is rejected; manual entry does not bypass an already-used or invalid activation code. Recovery and reissue options depend on the order.
Do not factory-reset your phone as a routine eSIM troubleshooting step. Network resets can affect saved Wi-Fi and other settings. Review manufacturer guidance and seek order-specific support before using them.
If a profile appears missing, check the line list and labels before assuming a software update removed it. Support can review available recovery options for the specific order.
What to send support if service still does not work
AloOui provides 24/7 human support, Monday through Sunday. Share your order reference, exact phone model, software version, current destination, installation status, precise error and checks already attempted privately through the Help Center.
Relevant screenshots can help, but keep activation credentials and QR codes out of public posts. The cause and available next steps depend on your device, plan and error; a fixed resolution time or automatic replacement is not promised.
For deeper AloOui-specific checks, read AloOui connection, APN and order checks. Broader issues are covered in the general eSIM troubleshooting guide.

Frequently asked questions
Does installation mean destination service is active?
No. Check coverage and supported-network registration. AloOui travel validity starts on destination activation, not simply installation.
Should I delete the eSIM and scan again?
Keep the profile installed unless support instructs you to delete it. Ask support to confirm recovery options for your order.
Should data roaming be on?
Follow the travel line's order instructions and keep home-line settings separate.
Can manual installation bypass a used QR code?
Do not assume it can. Check whether the profile is already installed and send the exact error privately to support.
When should I contact support rather than buy another plan?
Contact support for an unresolved issue with an existing order. Another purchase will not remove a carrier lock or add coverage to that order.
