Step 2. Make Sure Your Phone Is Unlocked

Carrier locked phones can block new eSIM installations. If your phone was purchased through a mobile carrier, it may only allow SIM profiles from that network.

How to Check Locked/Unlocked Status on iPhone

1. On iOS 14 and above, open Settings,
2. Scroll down and tap on General, then select About.
3. If you see the No SIM Restrictions message next to Carrier Lock, then your iPhone is unlocked.

5. If several carriers appear, the chances are that your phone is unlocked and just needs the appropriate SIM card. For further confirmation, continue to Step 6.
6. Remove the old SIM card from your phone and insert the newly activated one from the other carrier. Try using mobile data to browse the internet but ensure that Wi-Fi is disabled.
7. If you successfully browsed the internet, your phone is definitely unlocked.

If your phone is locked, contact your carrier and request an unlock. Once unlocked, you can install and activate your AloOui eSIM normally.

Step 3. Check Your Internet Connection During Installation

• SM DP+ Address
• Activation Code

1. Go to Settings 
2. Mobile/Celluar Data 
3. Under Mobile/Celluar Data plans select your eSIM 
4. Mobile/Celluar Data Network 
5. In the Mobile/Celluar Data APN field, type data.esim

Android:

1. Go to Settings 
2. Network & Internet section
3. Mobile Networks 
4. Access Point Names 
5. Type the new APN settings, data.esim
