One longer plan or two separate plans?

One longer-validity plan

Compare this when the selected validity covers the first activation through the end of your return visit, and enough allowance remains for both stays.

It can simplify planning, but the days between visits still count according to the plan rules. Do not assume travel elsewhere pauses the clock.

Separate shorter purchases

Compare this when the visits are far apart or you prefer a different allowance for each stay. Check activation rules and installation instructions for each purchase.

A new purchase is not an assumed extension, top-up or reset of the earlier plan.

Compare the whole span, not just nights in Rome

Write down when you first need Italy data and when you last need it after returning. Include the days between those moments when comparing one plan's validity, even if you are not using it every day.

Two three-day stays separated by a gap are not automatically covered by one six- or seven-day plan. Follow the selected start and expiry rules rather than counting only the days you intend to use data.

A useful checked-price example

Two separately purchased Essential 3 Days options would total $18.98 USD at the checked price of $9.49 each. One 5GB/30-day fixed plan was $7.90.

That is a comparison of different structures, not identical service. Essential has daily full-speed allowances and slower-speed continuation; the fixed option has 5GB total with no unlimited continuation. The fixed option is worth considering when its allowance and validity cover both visits. Separate daily plans may better fit your workload and dates.

Choose usage for each visit

The first stay might involve maps, messages and bookings, while the return involves more uploads or work. Estimate those tasks separately using actual phone usage, then choose the structure that fits.

Essential is the balanced daily comparison. Look at Plus for clearly heavier daily use and Premium for suitable large total workloads within its shorter validity. More allowance does not extend expiry or create reception.

If you stay elsewhere in Italy between Rome visits

The product supports travel in Rome, Florence, Venice, Milan, Naples, Sicily and other listed Italy destinations where supported local networks have service. Include those days and their usage in the same estimate when relying on one plan.

If you leave Italy, verify the other destination's inclusion separately. An Italy-only selection should not be treated as a regional plan. Returning does not automatically restart a used allowance or validity period.

Prepare the return visit before leaving

Keep the order reference and delivered instructions private and accessible. Note the selected expiry and check remaining allowance before returning. Save accommodation details, maps and key booking references offline.

Do not delete the eSIM or assume it can be transferred to another phone. For a new purchase, follow its own installation details rather than repeatedly scanning an earlier QR code.

Rome reception and onward routes

Actual service depends on location, phone, supported network and local conditions. Buildings, underground areas, tunnels, busy venues and remote routes can have different reception. Continuous 5G and uninterrupted data are not guaranteed.

Use offline maps for uncertain reception and keep suitable contact arrangements ready. Hotspot performance and support depend on device, network and selected terms; shared usage comes from the relevant allowance.

Install and select the right travel line

Confirm your exact phone model and regional version support eSIM and the phone is carrier-unlocked.
Choose the Italy plan whose allowance and validity fit the itinerary, then complete checkout.
Open the emailed QR code on another screen or use supplied manual details.
On stable Wi-Fi, add the eSIM through iPhone Cellular/Mobile Data or Android SIM manager. Menu names vary.
Label the travel line clearly and save its delivery instructions offline.
In Italy, follow selected activation and roaming instructions and choose that line for mobile data. Test a small webpage.
