Hong Kong eSIM

Hong Kong eSIM for city breaks and business trips

Check your airport transfer, find a Kowloon restaurant or share the view from Victoria Peak with an AloOui Hong Kong eSIM. Choose fixed data or Unlimited Lite, Essential or Plus for your stay. Your QR code is delivered by email after purchase, with no ID required for the AloOui eSIM purchase.

Choose your Hong Kong plan

• Light city-break use: fixed 3GB or 5GB for 30 days is a starting point if you use Wi-Fi for larger downloads.
• Balanced week-long visit: Unlimited Essential for 7 days gives 1GB of high-speed data daily, then continued data at up to 1.25 Mbps for the rest of that day.
• More uploads or hotspot use: Unlimited Plus gives 2GB of high-speed data daily, then continued data at up to 2 Mbps. Choose the duration matching your stay.

Select your option above for its current price. Prices may change. Always check the product page for the latest prices before purchasing.

Compare selectable plans

The standard Hong Kong Unlimited options in the selector are Lite. Daily high-speed allowances refresh each day; reduced speeds apply after that day's allowance is used. Unlimited does not mean unrestricted high-speed data. Fixed plans end when their total allowance or validity runs out, whichever comes first, without reduced-speed continuation. No Premium option is currently selectable.

Hong Kong coverage and supported networks

This plan covers Hong Kong only, not Macau or mainland China. Listed partners are China Mobile Hong Kong, 3 Hong Kong, SmarTone and Hong Kong Telecom (HKT). China Mobile Hong Kong, 3 Hong Kong and HKT list 4G/5G support; SmarTone is listed up to 4G. Available speeds depend on your device, partner and local conditions.

Harbour crossings, transit and hiking routes

Keep accommodation details and transport information handy for Hong Kong Island, Kowloon, Lantau and the New Territories. Download maps before Sai Kung hikes or remote island visits. Reception may vary in tunnels, underground, inside buildings and along rural trails; a listed destination does not guarantee signal everywhere. Sea or shipboard networks are not included.

Hotspot and data-only service

Hotspot sharing is available where supported by your device and network. Shared usage counts toward the same total or daily high-speed allowance. Large uploads, backups and streaming can use data quickly.

This eSIM does not include a Hong Kong phone number, native calls or SMS. Use internet-based messaging and calling apps through mobile data. If you keep your home SIM for calls or SMS, check its roaming charges and turn off its data roaming.

Install before departure, activate when ready

Use an eSIM-compatible, carrier-unlocked device and stable Wi-Fi to install the QR code from your email. Choose Add eSIM in your phone's cellular or SIM settings; menus vary by device.

Validity starts when the eSIM activates by connecting to a supported Hong Kong network. Installation alone does not start validity. If you are already in Hong Kong, enabling the line and connecting can start your plan.

When ready, enable AloOui, select it for mobile data and turn on data roaming for that line. Disable automatic mobile-data switching to your home SIM where available.

APN and connection help

1. Check that AloOui is enabled, selected for mobile data and has data roaming on.
2. If an APN is required, enter data.esim, leave username and password blank, and save/select it. Some devices configure this automatically.
3. Toggle airplane mode or restart your phone. Try 4G/LTE if 5G is unstable.
4. Start with automatic network selection. If needed, choose a listed supported partner, not any network that appears.
5. Check remaining data and validity. Do not delete the eSIM while troubleshooting; contact support first.
