Choose your Malta plan

Fixed data suits lighter use between Wi-Fi connections. Essential is a balanced daily option; Plus provides more high-speed data each day. Premium offers a larger whole-plan pool for substantial or uneven usage without a daily reset. Compare duration and budget rather than treating different-length packages as equivalent. For a month-long stay, compare 30-day fixed or daily Unlimited packages; one Premium package lasts up to 15 days.

Prices may change. Always check the product page for the latest prices before purchasing.

Compare allowances and validity

Standard Malta Unlimited options are Lite. Lite, Essential and Plus high-speed allowances refresh daily; reduced-speed data continues for the rest of that day after the allowance is used. Premium uses one whole-plan high-speed pool, followed by reduced-speed data until expiry, with no daily reset. Unlimited does not mean unrestricted high-speed data. Fixed plans end when their allowance or validity runs out, whichever comes first, without reduced-speed continuation. Premium is distinct from Plus. Actual speeds depend on connectivity.

Malta networks and coverage

Melita, GO and the Vodafone-labeled provider entry list 4G and 5G support. Network names displayed by your device may differ from stored labels. Follow your delivery instructions or ask support about the partners for your exact option, including Premium; do not assume the product-level list applies identically to every tier. Actual connection and speed depend on your device, supported partner and local conditions. 5G is not guaranteed everywhere.

The provider list identifies Malta without separate island-by-island coverage confirmation. Check with support before purchase if connectivity on Gozo, Comino or at a specific property is essential. Do not assume Sicily or other nearby destinations are included.

Gozo visits, Blue Lagoon excursions and coastal stays

Save ferry tickets, maps and accommodation details offline before leaving reliable coverage. Reception varies at remote beaches, in buildings and on boat routes. Do not depend on uninterrupted mobile data during a Blue Lagoon excursion or inter-island crossing. Satellite and maritime networks are not included.

Hotspot and keeping your existing number

Hotspot depends on the selected plan, device and network; shared usage counts toward the same allowance and speed limits. Confirm exact Premium hotspot permission and limits before relying on laptop tethering. This data eSIM has no Maltese number, ordinary calls or SMS. Internet-based messaging and calling depend on connectivity and app availability.

If retaining your home SIM for calls or SMS, check roaming charges, leave its data roaming off and avoid unwanted automatic data switching.

Compatibility, installation and activation

1. Check that your exact device model and regional version support eSIM and that the device is carrier-unlocked.
2. Install the emailed QR code over stable Wi-Fi through your cellular or SIM settings, following your order's instructions. Keep the QR private.
3. When ready in supported Malta coverage, enable AloOui, select it for mobile data and turn on its data roaming as instructed.

Validity starts when the eSIM connects to a supported network in Malta, not QR delivery or installation alone. If already in Malta, enabling the line and connecting can start the plan. Follow your purchased option's activation deadline and expiry instructions.

You can top up the eSIM for a maximum of six months. This top-up window is separate from each purchased plan's validity and does not make a plan valid for six months.

APN, troubleshooting and 24/7 human support

1. Confirm AloOui is enabled, selected for mobile data and has data roaming on as instructed. Check your location is covered.
2. If an APN is required, enter data.esim, with username and password blank. Save/select it; some devices configure it automatically. Follow your order if its settings differ.
3. After installation finishes, toggle airplane mode briefly or restart. Do not interrupt an active profile download.
4. Start with automatic network selection; if needed, select a supported partner identified in your delivery instructions and move to a stronger-signal area.
5. Check remaining data and validity. Keep the eSIM installed while troubleshooting.

Ask support before deleting the profile, changing devices or rescanning the QR code; do not assume transfer, reinstallation or QR reuse is supported.

AloOui provides 24/7 human customer support through the Help Center. Share your order number, exact device model, location and error privately.

Malta eSIM FAQs

What is the lowest-priced package?
Fixed 1GB/7 days costs $3.12 USD. It is 1GB total, not a daily allowance.

Is Premium the same as Plus?
No. Plus gives 2GB/day high-speed, then up to 2 Mbps. Premium gives 30GB/5 days, 60GB/10 days or 90GB/15 days for the whole plan, then up to 2 Mbps, without a daily reset.

When does validity start?
When the eSIM connects to a supported network in Malta, not delivery or installation alone. The maximum six-month top-up window is separate from package validity.

Does it include a local number, calls or SMS?
No. It is data-only. Internet calls and messages use your allowance.

Can I use hotspot?
Sharing depends on the selected plan, device and network. Confirm exact Premium hotspot permission and limits before buying.

Is uninterrupted service guaranteed on Gozo and Comino excursions?
No. Confirm specific island coverage with support if essential and save travel details offline before boat trips. Sicily is not established as included; choose a product explicitly covering Italy for that visit.
