Fixed data or a daily high-speed allowance?

Check your exact Android model

1. Find the full model number, software version and regional version in the device information.
2. Check eSIM support against the specifications for that exact model, not merely its brand or family.
3. Confirm the phone is carrier-unlocked and any work-device restrictions permit another plan.
4. Find the available add-eSIM or download-plan control.
5. Confirm the selected travel plan and installation method are suitable for the device.

A phone running Android is not automatically an eSIM phone. A physical SIM tray, a recent release date or a premium model name does not by itself establish support. Regional and carrier versions can differ.

These are starting points, not a claim that every model from a listed brand supports eSIM. Menu wording and controls vary by software, carrier and regional version. Follow the purchased order's instructions and the exact device's available options.

Match coverage and validity to the route

List the destination, side trips and stopovers where you want data. Compare each with the selected product's current destination list. A regional name does not include every country in that region.

Choose enough validity from first activation to final use. Days spent on Wi-Fi still matter to an active use window. Crossing a border does not restart validity or create a fresh total allowance.

The North America example includes the USA, Canada and Mexico. If you are already in the USA, enabling and connecting it to a supported network can activate it before departure for Canada or Mexico.

Prepare before installation

Use stable Wi-Fi, keep the order email available and decide which device will receive the profile. If scanning a QR code, display it on another screen or follow a supported same-device method in the purchased instructions.

Keep important tickets, accommodation details and suitable maps available offline. Review automatic backups, photo synchronization and app updates so they do not unexpectedly consume the travel allowance.

Install the purchased travel eSIM

1. Connect the intended phone to stable Wi-Fi.
2. Open its supported add-eSIM or download-plan flow.
3. Use the purchased QR code or supplied manual installation details, as supported by the device and order.
4. Follow the prompts and label the profile AloOui or Travel.
5. Keep the profile installed and follow the instructions for when to enable it.

Installing a profile and receiving mobile service are separate steps. Do not assume the QR code can be reused on a second device, or that deleting the profile makes it available for reinstallation.

Installation versus activation

For AloOui travel eSIMs, installation alone does not start validity. Connection to a supported network in an included destination activates the plan. An included home or transit location can start the use window if the travel line is enabled and connects there.

Prepare on Wi-Fi before you need data, then enable the connection when ready under the purchased instructions. Turning a line off is not a reason to assume validity pauses or extends.

Select the travel line for mobile data

1. Enable AloOui when ready in supported coverage.
2. Select it for mobile data in the available SIM or network controls.
3. Enable data roaming on the travel connection as instructed.
4. Keep home-line data roaming off and disable automatic mobile-data switching or fallback where supported.
5. Test a small webpage or message and confirm the intended data line is in use.

Do not assume all Android phones expose the same per-line switches. If roaming controls are shared or unclear, check the exact setup before leaving a home line enabled abroad.

APN data.esim

Some Android devices configure the APN automatically. If manual entry is required, use data.esim, leave username and password blank, then save and select the APN.

Look for Access Point Names within the mobile-network settings where available. Make sure you are configuring AloOui rather than the home line. If editable APN fields are unavailable, follow the order's device-specific guidance or contact support.

The APN is a network setting. It is not the QR code, activation code or server address used to install the profile.

Home-line calls, texts and account access

The travel-data examples above do not include a native phone number, calls or SMS. Internet-based messaging and calling apps use data, subject to service availability and your account setup.

If you want to retain a home line, confirm the exact phone's supported active-line arrangement and the carrier's overseas service and charges. Stored profiles are not the same as simultaneously active lines. Working travel data does not guarantee home-line verification messages.

Prepare access to important accounts before departure instead of assuming a travel-data purchase supplies a verification number.

Sharing with a tablet or laptop

Where the phone, network and selected plan support hotspot, use a strong password and test a nearby device. The phone and guests share the same total or daily allowance.

Pause guest-device backups and updates. Keep the phone powered and ventilated, and remember the guests depend on it remaining nearby. A Wi-Fi-only tablet can use a phone hotspot without receiving a duplicate eSIM profile.

Troubleshoot by identifying the failed step

No add-eSIM control

Recheck the exact model, regional version, software and any restrictions. Do not buy on the assumption that all phones from the same family expose the control.

Installation does not complete

Check stable Wi-Fi, the purchased instructions and whether the profile was already installed. Use manual entry only with the supplied details when supported. Keep credentials private and contact support with the displayed error.

Profile installed, but no internet

1. Confirm the actual country or territory is included.
2. Check allowance and validity.
3. Confirm AloOui is enabled and selected for mobile data.
4. Check the required roaming setting.
5. If manual APN entry is needed, use data.esim, leave username and password blank, then save and select it.
6. Try airplane mode, restart or a location with stronger reception. Try LTE/4G if 5G is unstable.
7. Start with automatic network selection; select a supported partner manually only when instructed.
8. Keep the profile installed and contact the Help Center with the model, order number, location and error details.

Internet works, but an app or home-line service does not

Investigate that app, account or carrier service separately. Do not delete a working travel profile to solve an unrelated login or home-line calling problem.

When data runs low

Review actual usage, pause unnecessary transfers and check the options available for your purchased order. Do not assume every plan supports an instant top-up, automatic renewal, transfer or reinstallation. If another purchase is needed, match the route and timing while you have a suitable connection.
