Arriving in Quito
Save your airport arrival details, hotel address and pickup instructions while on Wi-Fi. Quito's main airport is outside the central city, so arrange the transfer separately and confirm current pickup points, fares and journey times with your transport provider. After following the selected plan's activation guidance, supported data can help with directions and messages. The eSIM does not include transport or guarantee reception throughout the airport.
City days and highland travel
Use supported data for directions around your accommodation, meetings and booked city visits. If you continue beyond Quito, download tickets, meeting points and offline maps before setting out. Mountain terrain, buildings, local networks and congestion can affect service, and a larger allowance cannot create signal on a remote route. Do not rely on this eSIM as your only navigation or emergency contact method.
Install and troubleshoot
- Choose an Ecuador plan and duration, complete checkout and open the emailed QR code on another screen.
- Connect an unlocked, eSIM-compatible phone to stable Wi-Fi. On iPhone, open Settings > Cellular/Mobile Data > Add eSIM > Use QR Code. On Android, find Add eSIM in SIM manager or Network & internet; labels vary.
- Scan the code, label the new line AloOui and follow your delivery instructions. Do not delete the installed eSIM.
- On arrival, choose AloOui for mobile data and follow the plan's activation guidance. If data fails, check validity, mobile data and instructed roaming on that line, toggle airplane mode, verify any APN instructions in your email and try automatic network selection.
