The standard route: a number that receives SMS
GO's registration guide describes entering a mobile number capable of receiving SMS, then entering the four-digit code. Use the number you actually control and check the country code carefully.
If your usual number remains available through your home carrier, its overseas reception and charges are separate from the travel-data eSIM. Turning off home-line data roaming does not establish that all calls or SMS are free.

GO's request instructions say to place the pickup pin on the side of the road where a taxi can stop, select Next, review the relevant options and request the taxi. The guide also notes that pickup fees, tolls and optional charges may be added separately to an approximate fare.
At an airport or large hotel, follow the actual pickup instructions and local arrangements rather than assuming the nearest door or the centre of the map is correct. Check the live booking details and stay connected for the pickup.
A completed account, a request being submitted and an accepted ride are different stages. More data does not create a taxi when no suitable option is available.
