Daily allowance or one total pool?

List the files before choosing the plan

Check the actual sizes of the materials you expect to send or receive. Include presentations, video assets, design files and any other work that really belongs in your itinerary rather than assuming every business traveller has the same workload.

Account for downloads, repeat transfers and background activity too. A file's size is a useful starting point, not an exact guarantee of total mobile usage; measure actual usage where possible.

Identify the busiest day, not only the average

A steady daily workload and a large one-day handover call for different comparisons. One transfer can exceed a daily full-speed allowance even when the rest of the trip is quiet.

Compare Plus for heavier daily activity. If the busy-day workload does not fit that daily allowance, compare an appropriately sized fixed or Premium total pool instead of assuming unused daily allowances accumulate.

Choose validity independently of the pool

Premium's 30GB/5-day, 60GB/10-day and 90GB/15-day options pair a total pool with a specific duration. Choose both to fit your work, rather than choosing a large pool whose validity ends before the final handover.

Fixed 20GB/30 days means 20GB total across that validity, not 20GB every day. Follow selected expiry and reset rules; do not assume rollover, automatic extensions or transferable allowances.

Include the laptop when using hotspot

Confirm selected hotspot terms and your phone's supported sharing method. If you use a laptop over that connection, include its work traffic, cloud syncing, updates and other background activity in the allowance.

Check settings deliberately, but follow employer requirements and keep required security updates and protections in place. A larger plan does not remove device, network or organisational restrictions.

Prepare the approved transfer method

Confirm you can sign in to the service your organisation authorises and that the recipient has the appropriate access. Follow company rules for confidential files and account verification.

Do not put client documents, passwords or activation credentials into public messages or AI prompts. Mobile data does not establish permission to share a file, secure a transfer service or guarantee recipient access.

Leave room for real connection conditions

Transfers depend on local reception, network load, device and the service being used. Check progress and the actual completed result rather than treating a submitted upload as delivery.

Prepare a permitted fallback for deadline-sensitive work and leave appropriate time. More allowance does not guarantee a minimum upload speed, completion time, video-call quality or uninterrupted service.

Milan coverage and onward work

1. Confirm your exact phone model and regional version support eSIM and that it is carrier-unlocked. Check employer permission on a managed device.

4. For permitted hotspot use, check the phone's sharing settings and laptop connection separately.
