Fixed data

One total allowance for the selected validity, not a daily reset. Selectable choices start at 1GB for 7 days, with larger allowances for longer stays.

Unlimited Lite

Up to 1GB per day at full speed, then unlimited data at up to 512 kbps for the rest of that day. Check the selector for current price and duration.

Unlimited Essential

Balanced for daily maps and bookings: up to 1GB per day at full speed, then unlimited data at up to 1.25 Mbps.

Unlimited Plus

For data-heavier days: up to 2GB per day at full speed, then unlimited data at up to 2 Mbps. Plus is not Premium.

Premium is not selectable on this Malaysia product. Fixed-data allowances cover the whole plan; Lite, Essential and Plus use daily full-speed allowances. Review the exact duration, hotspot terms and live price on the Malaysia product page.

Arriving in Kota Kinabalu

Save your flight details, accommodation address and pickup instructions while on Wi-Fi. Once activated, the Malaysia plan can help with supported maps and contacting your host around the city. Check your transport provider for live schedules and pickup points. An eSIM provides mobile data, not airport transport or a guarantee of signal in every building.

Planning the rest of Sabah

For a city stay, choose the data allowance that suits everyday directions and messages. If you plan island departures, mountain routes or a longer trip through Sabah, download tickets, maps and contact details before leaving reliable Wi-Fi. Boats, rainforest trails and remote roads may have weak or no reception; extra data does not extend network coverage. If you travel across a national border, confirm your exact plan's destination list first.

Install and troubleshoot

Choose your Malaysia plan and duration, complete checkout and open the emailed QR code on a second screen.
Connect an unlocked, eSIM-compatible phone to stable Wi-Fi. On iPhone, use Settings > Cellular/Mobile Data > Add eSIM > Use QR Code. On Android, find Add eSIM in SIM manager or Network & internet; labels vary.
Scan the code, label the line AloOui and follow the delivery email. Do not delete the installed eSIM.
On arrival, select AloOui for mobile data and follow the plan's activation guidance. If data fails, check validity, mobile data and instructed roaming on that line, toggle airplane mode, compare the APN data.esim with your email and try automatic network selection. Visit the AloOui Help Center for assistance.
