The London Underground, Citymapper and contactless Oyster all rely on a live connection, and booking a West End show or checking opening times for the British Museum is far easier with data from the moment you land at Heathrow, Gatwick or Stansted.
If you need a UK phone number for calls and texts rather than just data, check out the UK Local eSIM with a UK number, which includes unlimited calls and SMS plus data.
