Coverage for your Hawaiian itinerary

Ask the AloOui Help Center to confirm the selected plan's supported networks, available technology and island coverage before purchase if these details are important to your trip. This page does not promise a particular carrier, 5G availability or reception across every Hawaiian island.

Connection and speeds depend on your device, supported partner and local conditions. Do not assume mainland US coverage or another destination is included simply because Hawaii is a US state; confirm the exact plan's coverage for trips beyond Hawaii.

Road to Hana, volcano visits and coastal excursions

Save maps, accommodation details and tickets offline before leaving reliable coverage. Reception can vary on rainforest roads, mountain routes, remote beaches and boat excursions. Do not depend on uninterrupted mobile data for a Road to Hana drive, a national-park visit or a Nā Pali Coast trip. Check local access and safety information separately from connectivity. Satellite and maritime networks are not included.

Hotspot and keeping your existing number

Hotspot sharing is available where supported by your device and network, using the same total or daily allowance. This travel data eSIM does not include a local phone number, native calls or SMS. Internet-based messaging and calling depend on connectivity and app availability.

You can keep your home SIM for calls or SMS if your device supports the arrangement. Check its roaming charges, turn off its data roaming and avoid automatic data switching. No ID verification is required for the AloOui purchase; local legal requirements may differ.

Compatibility, installation and activation

Check that your exact device model and regional version support eSIM and are carrier-unlocked. Install the emailed QR code over stable Wi-Fi using Add eSIM in your cellular or SIM settings.

Validity starts when the eSIM activates by connecting to a supported destination network, not simply on installation. If already at your destination, enabling the line and connecting can start the plan. When ready, enable AloOui, select it for mobile data and turn on data roaming for that line.

APN and troubleshooting

1. Check that AloOui is enabled, selected for mobile data and has data roaming on.
2. If an APN is required, set it to data.esim, leaving username and password blank. Save/select it; some devices configure this automatically.
3. Toggle airplane mode or restart your phone.
4. Start with automatic network selection. Use only supported partners named in your delivery instructions or confirmed by support if selecting manually.
5. Check remaining data and validity. Do not delete the eSIM or repeatedly scan a one-time QR code while troubleshooting.
