Quick plan summary

• Coverage: Malawi only, not Mozambique, Tanzania or Zambia.
• Fixed data: 1GB/7 days, 2GB/15 days or 3GB, 5GB, 10GB or 20GB/30 days. These are total allowances, not daily amounts.
• Daily Unlimited: Lite, Essential and Plus for 1, 3, 5, 7 or 10 days. No Premium option is selectable; Plus is not Premium.
• Network: Airtel Malawi, up to 4G where available. TNM is not listed and 5G is not established.
• Data only: no local number, ordinary calls or SMS.
• Delivery: QR code by email. No ID verification is required for the AloOui purchase; this does not waive local registration requirements.

Compare Malawi packages

Fixed data is the lower-cost choice for lighter maps, messages and bookings between Wi-Fi connections. Compare 5GB/30 days at $89.30 with Essential/7 days at $246.41 before choosing: the fixed package has a smaller total allowance but a longer validity. Essential is the balanced daily option; Plus offers more high-speed data each day for heavier uploads or supported hotspot use. Match the allowance, duration and total cost to your trip. A larger allowance does not improve lake or mountain reception.

Prices may change. Always check the product page for the latest prices before purchasing.

How daily Unlimited works

• Lite: 1GB/day high-speed, then up to 512 kbps.
• Essential: 1GB/day high-speed, then up to 1.25 Mbps.
• Plus: 2GB/day high-speed, then up to 2 Mbps.

Standard Malawi Unlimited options are Lite. Daily high-speed allowances refresh each day; reduced speeds apply for the remainder of the day after that day's allowance is used. Unlimited does not mean unrestricted high-speed data. Fixed plans end when their total allowance or validity runs out, whichever comes first, without reduced-speed continuation. Actual speeds depend on connectivity and can be below policy limits.

Malawi networks and coverage

Airtel Malawi Limited, branded Airtel Malawi, is the only network in the current product provider list, supporting up to 4G where available. TNM is not listed, and 5G is not established. Confirm exact-option entitlement if needed. Connection and speeds depend on your purchased plan, device, location and local conditions. Reception at every airport, address or route is not guaranteed.

Lake shores, parks and mountain routes

Save maps, bookings and contact details offline before leaving reliable coverage. Confirm essential locations with support before purchasing, particularly Cape Maclear, Nkhata Bay, Liwonde, Nyika, Mulanje, Majete or remote accommodation. The country entry does not independently establish reception at every lakeside property, park or trail, or throughout boat journeys.

Check weather, access, park rules and local arrangements independently. Arrange appropriate backup communications for remote routes rather than relying on mobile data for navigation or emergencies. Satellite and maritime networks are not included. This product lists Malawi only, not Mozambique, Tanzania or Zambia; do not assume continuous data on cross-border routes.

Hotspot and keeping your existing number

Hotspot depends on the selected plan, device and network. Confirm exact-option terms if sharing is essential. Shared usage counts toward the same total or daily high-speed allowance and speed limits. Large uploads, backups and streaming can use data quickly.

This data eSIM has no local number, ordinary calls or SMS. Internet-based calls and messages depend on app availability and connectivity. If keeping your home SIM enabled, check its roaming charges, turn off its data roaming and avoid automatic data switching.

Compatibility, installation and activation

1. Check that your exact device model and regional version support eSIM and that the device is carrier-unlocked.
2. Install the emailed QR code over stable Wi-Fi using your cellular or SIM settings, following your order's instructions. Keep the QR private.
3. When ready in supported Malawi coverage, enable AloOui, select it for mobile data and turn on its data roaming as instructed.

Validity starts when the eSIM connects to a supported network in Malawi, not QR delivery or installation alone. Enabling the line within supported coverage can start the plan. Follow your purchased option's activation deadline, expiry and top-up instructions.

APN, connection help and 24/7 human support

1. Check AloOui is enabled, selected for mobile data and has data roaming on as instructed.
2. If manual APN setup is needed, enter data.esim with username and password blank, then save/select it. Follow your order if its settings differ.
3. After installation finishes, toggle airplane mode briefly or restart.
4. Start with automatic network selection. If needed, select Airtel Malawi as confirmed in your order or by support and move to a stronger-signal area when safe.
5. Check remaining data and validity. Keep the eSIM installed while troubleshooting.

Ask support before deleting the profile, changing devices or rescanning the QR code; do not assume transfer, reinstallation or QR reuse is supported.

AloOui provides 24/7 human customer support through the Help Center. Share your order number, exact device model, location and error privately.
