How many eSIMs can an iPhone use?

Apple's eSIM guide describes managing eight or more eSIMs. Do not treat eight as a universal maximum or storage as proof a purchased plan never expires.
Active lines
On supported models, Dual SIM uses a physical SIM and an eSIM. Supported iPhone 13 models and later also support two active eSIMs. Exact model and regional version matter.
Only one cellular data network is used at a time. Two active lines do not combine data allowances or double your speed. Apple's regional exceptions mean “all iPhones XS and later” is too broad. Keep your home number and choose the travel data line
Use Settings, then Cellular or Mobile Data, to identify and label your lines. Select AloOui for cellular data when ready at the supported destination. Disable unwanted automatic data switching and home-SIM data roaming. Keeping your home line for calls or messages does not make carrier roaming charges free. Incoming calls and line availability can depend on carrier and device settings.
Install safely and retain the profile
Install the emailed QR code over stable Wi-Fi on a compatible, unlocked phone. Restart after download completes. AloOui travel-data validity starts when the eSIM connects to a supported destination network, not merely on installation. Follow your purchased order's roaming, APN and credentials instructions.
Do not delete an installed profile just to make room unless you understand its reuse terms. A saved email does not guarantee the QR code can be scanned again, and manual entry does not bypass a used-code restriction. Confirm transfer, top-up, expiry and reinstallation terms with support.
