Arrival and transfers

Save the airport or departure point shown on your ticket, accommodation contact and pickup instructions before leaving Wi-Fi. Some Lamu itineraries involve boat transfers; check route, timing and safety advice with your operator. Do not assume signal on boats or offshore, and keep tickets accessible offline.

Lamu Old Town

Keep accommodation and meeting addresses offline for walking days. Check current access, opening times and local visitor guidance with your hosts or attractions. Supported mobile service can vary inside buildings and narrow streets; the eSIM does not include guided tours or admission.

Beach and coastal outings

Save operator contacts, return times and emergency information before heading out. Weather and network reach may affect remote shores and water routes. Do not rely on an eSIM as your only navigation or safety method.

Install and troubleshoot

1. Choose a Kenya plan and validity, complete checkout and open the emailed QR code on another screen.
2. Connect an unlocked eSIM-compatible phone to Wi-Fi. Add an eSIM from iPhone Cellular/Mobile Data settings or Android SIM manager/Network settings, then scan the code.
3. Label the line AloOui and follow the delivery email. Do not delete the installed eSIM.
4. On arrival, select AloOui for mobile data and follow the selected plan's activation instructions. If data fails where service exists, check validity and instructed roaming, toggle airplane mode and follow any APN guidance. Visit the AloOui Help Center for help.
