If you're unable to scan your AloOui eSIM QR code, you can install your eSIM manually using the SM DP+ Address and Activation Code provided in your order email.
Manual installation is a reliable alternative when:
- Your camera isn't working.
- You're unable to scan the QR code.
- You're installing the eSIM on the same device that displays the QR code.
- The QR code cannot be recognized.
Before you begin
Make sure you have:
- An eSIM compatible and carrier unlocked device.
- A stable WiFi or internet connection.
- Your AloOui installation email containing:
SM DP+ Address
Activation Code
Manual installation on iPhone
- Open Settings.
- Tap Mobile Data or Cellular.
- Tap Add eSIM.
- Select Use QR Code.
- Tap Enter Details Manually at the bottom of the screen.
- Enter the following information exactly as provided:
SM DP+ Address
Activation Code - Tap Next to begin the installation.
- Label your eSIM as AloOui for easy identification.
- Select Cellular Data as the default data line if prompted.
Your eSIM will now be installed on your iPhone.
Manual installation on Android
The exact steps may vary depending on your device.
- Open Settings.
- Go to Network & Internet, Connections, or SIM Manager.
- Tap Add eSIM or Add Mobile Plan.
- Select Enter Activation Code or Enter Details Manually.
- Enter the following information:
SM DP+ Address
Activation Code - Tap Download or Install.
- Wait until the installation is complete.
Your AloOui eSIM should now appear in your SIM settings.
After installation
When you arrive at your destination:
- Turn on your AloOui eSIM.
- Set it as your preferred Mobile Data line.
- Enable Data Roaming if required.
- Wait a few minutes while your device connects to a supported local network.
Troubleshooting
If manual installation doesn't work:
- Double check that the SM DP+ Address and Activation Code were entered exactly as shown.
- Ensure your device is connected to a stable internet connection.
- Verify that your phone supports eSIM and is carrier unlocked
- Restart your device after installation.
