Verification is separate from restoring chat history. Do not assume entering a code recovers every message, group or backup instantly. If you cannot verify or restore, consult WhatsApp's support rather than repeatedly reinstalling the app or buying another data plan as a presumed fix.
Manage Your Home Line Separately
Simultaneous active lines depend on your device and carrier. Keeping a home account active does not guarantee that it receives codes abroad. Review home-line data roaming, automatic switching, calls, voicemail and SMS terms; a travel eSIM does not cancel home-carrier charges.
