Arriving in Shanghai

Save the airport on your ticket, accommodation address and pickup details while connected to Wi-Fi; Shanghai has more than one airport. Supported mobile data can help with directions and messages after arrival. Check operators for current transport schedules and fares. Your eSIM does not include a ticket or guarantee reception inside every terminal or station.

City days and onward China travel

Use supported data for directions between your hotel, meetings and prebooked visits around Shanghai. If you continue to another Chinese city, choose validity for the full route and download tickets and offline maps before traveling. Coverage and speeds vary by local network, buildings, terrain, congestion and device. Important: this eSIM does not independently guarantee access to particular websites or apps or remove the need for a VPN. Check current app availability and local restrictions before departure.

Install and troubleshoot

Choose a China plan and duration, complete checkout and open the emailed QR code on another screen.
Connect an unlocked, eSIM-compatible phone to stable Wi-Fi. On iPhone, open Settings > Cellular/Mobile Data > Add eSIM > Use QR Code. On Android, find Add eSIM in SIM manager or Network & internet; menu labels vary.
Scan the code, label the new line AloOui and follow the delivery email. Do not delete the installed eSIM.
On arrival, choose AloOui for mobile data and follow the selected plan's activation guidance. If data fails, check validity, mobile data and instructed roaming on that line, toggle airplane mode, compare the APN data.esim with your email and try automatic network selection.
