How AloOui Works: Buy, Install and Activate Your Travel eSIM

Choose a travel eSIM, receive its QR code by email, install it over Wi-Fi and connect when you reach supported destination coverage. Installation and activation are different: installing the eSIM alone does not start its validity. Your AloOui travel plan starts when it activates by connecting to a supported destination network.

1. Choose coverage, data and duration

Start with your route, not just a plan name. Check that the exact countries or destinations you will visit are included. A country plan does not automatically cover a neighboring country, and a regional label is not a substitute for its actual destination list.

Compare the available allowances and validity on the product page. Check whether the allowance is total data for the whole plan or high-speed data refreshed daily. Look at the reduced speed, where applicable, and check hotspot support before relying on laptop sharing.

2. Check your phone before buying

Your exact device model and regional version must support eSIM, and the phone must be carrier-unlocked. Model names alone do not establish compatibility. Check your phone's SIM settings and device documentation before purchase.

Think about how you will use your home number. A data-only travel eSIM does not supply a local number, native calls or SMS unless the selected offer explicitly includes those services. Internet-based messaging and calling use data and depend on connectivity and app availability.

3. Buy and receive your QR code

Complete your purchase with an email address you can access. AloOui travel eSIMs are delivered digitally by email with installation details and a QR code. Keep the email and order number handy, and keep the QR code private.

If the email has not arrived, check spam and junk folders and confirm the purchase email address. Contact support with your order number rather than buying the same plan again just to resolve a delivery question.

4. Install over stable Wi-Fi

Follow the emailed instructions and use your phone's Add eSIM option. You can prepare the travel eSIM before departure; installation alone does not start the travel plan.

On iPhone, look for Add eSIM in the cellular or mobile-service settings. On Android, the equivalent option is usually in SIM, connections or mobile-network settings; labels vary by manufacturer and version. Use the QR code or any alternative installation details supplied for your order.

If the instructions provide a manual-installation option, use those exact details. Do not assume a QR code can be scanned repeatedly or transferred between devices. Label the line clearly so you can distinguish it from your home SIM.

5. Connect when ready at your destination

1. Enable the installed AloOui line when you are ready within supported destination coverage.
2. Select AloOui as your mobile-data line.
3. Turn on data roaming for the AloOui travel eSIM when your order instructions require it.
4. Allow it to connect to a supported local network, starting with automatic network selection unless your order instructions specify otherwise.

Validity starts on activation by connection to a supported destination network, not installation or email delivery. If you are already within supported coverage, enabling the line and connecting can start the plan.

Keep data roaming off on your home SIM and avoid automatic mobile-data switching if you do not want that line to provide travel data. Your home carrier's calling, SMS and roaming charges remain separate; check them before keeping that line active.

6. Understand your data allowance

Plan type	How to read it
Fixed data	One total allowance for the validity period, not a daily refill. A 5GB plan means 5GB total. Check the exact offer's expiry and continuation terms.
Daily unlimited tiers	A high-speed allowance each day followed by the selected tier's reduced speed. Unlimited does not mean unrestricted high-speed data.
Premium, where selectable	A separate tier with its own terms. Do not apply Lite, Essential or Plus rules to it automatically.

Lite, Essential and Plus are separate daily tiers. Common travel-plan terms are Lite: 1GB/day then up to 512 kbps; Essential: 1GB/day then up to 1.25 Mbps; Plus: 2GB/day then up to 2 Mbps. Destination-specific terms can differ, so confirm your selected variant. Plus is not another name for Premium.

A daily reset is not a promise of a particular reset time unless that time is stated for your offer. Actual speeds depend on the selected plan, supported network, device, location and local conditions. Check supported connectivity for your destination rather than assuming 5G at every stop.

Hotspot traffic uses the same allowance where sharing is supported. Background app updates, cloud backups and streaming also consume data. Save maps, tickets and accommodation details offline before travel through places with weaker reception.

Installed but no internet?

1. Check that AloOui is enabled and selected for mobile data. Apply data-roaming settings to that line only as specified in your order instructions.
2. Only enter or change an APN when your exact order instructions or AloOui support require it. Use the supplied APN and field values, leaving fields blank only when instructed. Some devices configure the APN automatically. If manual configuration appears necessary but no values are supplied, ask support rather than guessing.
3. After installation has completed, a brief airplane-mode toggle or restart may refresh registration. Do not interrupt an active profile download.
4. Start with automatic network selection unless your order specifies otherwise. Select a network manually only when directed by the order instructions or support, using a supported partner for your exact plan.
5. Check remaining data, validity and whether you are within the plan's supported coverage.
6. Keep the eSIM installed unless support instructs you to delete it. Check whether the profile is already installed if a QR code is rejected, and ask support before trying to reinstall it.
