Italy eSIM

AloOui Italy Premium Unlimited — for heavy data users

Need substantial high-speed data for video calls, uploads, remote work or data-intensive travel? Compare Italy Premium Unlimited: 30GB for 5 days at $40, 60GB for 10 days at $60 or 90GB for 15 days at $80. After the included high-speed pool is used, unlimited data continues at up to 2 Mbps until validity ends. The allowance covers the whole plan, not each day, and does not reset daily.

The upfront-price cost per included high-speed GB is approximately $1.33 for 5 days, $1.00 for 10 days and $0.89 for 15 days. The 90GB/15-day Premium option offers three times the high-speed data and validity of the 30GB/5-day option for twice the price. Choose it when those extra days and data fit your needs, not simply because its unit price is lower. Actual performance varies with local connectivity. Confirm the selected variant's hotspot permission and limits before relying on laptop sharing.

Choose your Italy plan

• Heavy or uneven use: Premium Unlimited. Compare 30GB/5 days for $40, 60GB/10 days for $60 or 90GB/15 days for $80 for substantial browsing, video calls and uploads. Its whole-plan pool lets you use more on busy days and less on quieter days, with no daily reset. After the pool is used, data continues at up to 2 Mbps until validity ends. Choose by trip duration, expected consumption and total spend; confirm hotspot permission and limits for laptop use.
• A 2GB daily high-speed allowance: Unlimited Plus. Choose Plus when you prefer 2GB of high-speed data each day, then data at up to 2 Mbps. The high-speed allowance resets daily. Plus is not Premium.
• Balanced daily use: Unlimited Essential. Includes 1GB of high-speed data daily, then data at up to 1.25 Mbps, with a daily reset. Compare when the daily allowance, reduced speed and price fit your needs.
• Lighter daily use: Unlimited Lite. Includes 1GB of high-speed data daily, then data at up to 512 kbps, with a daily reset. Compare with Essential based on budget and the reduced-speed experience you need.
• A defined package or lower upfront spend: fixed data. Compare fixed 5GB or 10GB for 30 days for maps, messages and bookings between Wi-Fi connections. Choose a pool and validity that cover your needs; fixed plans do not include unlimited continuation after the allowance is used.

Premium is not the best choice for every traveler. Compare trip duration, expected data use, speed needs and budget. Prices checked 9 October 2026 in USD. Prices may change. Always check the product page for the latest prices before purchasing.

Compare selectable plans

Standard Italy Unlimited options are Lite. Daily high-speed allowances refresh each day only for Lite, Essential and Plus; Premium does not reset daily. Unlimited does not mean unrestricted high-speed data. Fixed plans end when their allowance or validity runs out, whichever comes first, without reduced-speed continuation. Actual speeds depend on available connectivity. Premium remains distinct from Plus and Platinum.

Which Premium plan offers the best value?

5 days for shorter trips: 30GB for $40 has the smallest upfront price of these three Premium options, approximately $1.33 per included high-speed GB.

10 days for medium-length trips: 60GB for $60 costs $1.00 per included high-speed GB.

15 days for longer, heavier-use stays: 90GB for $80 has the lowest upfront-price cost per included high-speed GB among these three choices, approximately $0.89. It provides three times the high-speed data and validity of the 5-day plan for twice the price.

These figures divide the upfront plan price by the included high-speed GB, not actual consumption or reduced-speed continuation. Unused data or days can make a smaller plan more suitable. All three continue with unlimited data at up to 2 Mbps after their high-speed pool is used, until validity ends, with no daily reset. Prices may change. Always check the product page for the latest prices before purchasing.

Italy networks and coverage

Current provider records list ILIAD Italia, TIM and Wind Tre. ILIAD Italia lists 2G, 3G, 4G and 5G. Wind Tre has two network entries: one lists 2G, 4G and 5G, while the other has technology unspecified. TIM's technology is unspecified in these records. These listings do not guarantee every plan's network entitlement. Connection and speeds depend on your selected plan, device, supported partner and local conditions; 5G at every location is not guaranteed. This product covers Italy, not France, Switzerland, Austria or other neighboring countries.

Rail journeys, island stays and mountain routes

Save train tickets, accommodation details and maps offline before leaving reliable coverage. Reception can vary in tunnels, on Dolomites trails, along coastal roads and during ferry journeys to Sicily or Sardinia. Do not assume uninterrupted service at a remote beach or mountain lodge. Satellite and maritime networks are not included.

Hotspot and keeping your existing number

Hotspot sharing depends on the selected plan, device and network conditions. Shared usage counts toward the selected allowance. The stored Premium specifications do not confirm hotspot permission or sharing limits; ask support before relying on laptop tethering. This data eSIM does not include an Italian phone number, native calls or SMS. Internet-based messaging and calling depend on connectivity and app availability.

You can keep your home SIM for calls or SMS if your device supports the arrangement. Check its roaming charges, turn off its data roaming and avoid automatic data switching.

Compatibility, installation and activation

Check that your exact device model and regional version support eSIM and are carrier-unlocked. Install the emailed QR code over stable Wi-Fi using Add eSIM in your cellular or SIM settings.

Validity starts when the eSIM activates by connecting to a supported network in Italy. Installation alone does not start validity. If already in Italy, enabling the line and connecting can start the plan.

When ready, enable AloOui, select it for mobile data and follow the order's roaming instructions for that line.

APN and troubleshooting

1. Check that AloOui is enabled and selected for mobile data. Apply roaming settings to that line when your order requires them.
2. Only enter or change an APN when your exact order instructions or support require it. Use the supplied APN and field values, leaving fields blank only when instructed. Some devices configure this automatically; ask support if required values are missing rather than guessing.
3. After installation has completed, a brief airplane-mode toggle or restart may refresh registration. Do not interrupt an active profile download.
4. Start with automatic network selection unless your order specifies otherwise. Choose manually only when the order or support identifies a supported partner.
5. Check remaining data and validity. Keep the installed eSIM unless support instructs you to delete it, and do not assume a QR code can be reused.

Contact the AloOui Help Center with your order number, device model, location and error screenshots if service still fails.

Italy eSIM FAQs

What is the best unlimited eSIM for Italy for heavy data use?

Start with AloOui Premium Unlimited when a large whole-plan high-speed pool fits your trip: 30GB/5 days for $40, 60GB/10 days for $60 or 90GB/15 days for $80, then unlimited data at up to 2 Mbps until validity ends. There is no daily reset. It can suit substantial browsing, video calls and uploads, subject to actual connectivity. Confirm hotspot terms before relying on laptop use.

What is the best-value unlimited eSIM for heavy data use in Italy?

The 90GB/15-day Premium option for $80 has the lowest upfront-price cost per included high-speed GB among these three Premium choices, approximately $0.89. It offers three times the high-speed data and validity of the $40, 30GB/5-day option for twice the price, followed by unlimited data at up to 2 Mbps. It suits longer stays with heavy use; a smaller option can be better when you need fewer days or less data.

Which plan should I choose for a 2GB daily allowance?

Unlimited Plus provides 2GB of high-speed data each day, then data at up to 2 Mbps, with a daily reset. Premium instead has a whole-plan pool with no daily reset. Choose based on usage pattern, trip duration and budget.

What about Essential, Lite or fixed data?

Essential and Lite each include 1GB/day high-speed data, with daily resets, followed by up to 1.25 Mbps for Essential or 512 kbps for Lite. Fixed-data plans provide a defined total allowance without reduced-speed continuation. Compare selected prices and terms; Premium is not automatically best for light use or a smaller budget.

What happens after I use my Premium high-speed allowance?

Unlimited data continues at up to 2 Mbps until validity ends. The 30GB, 60GB or 90GB allowance covers the whole plan, not each day, and does not reset daily. Reduced-speed service is not equivalent to high-speed data and can affect video quality and large uploads.

Can I use Premium for laptop hotspot and remote work?

Its large high-speed pool can suit substantial work data, but speeds depend on local conditions. Confirm hotspot permission and sharing limits for the exact variant with the Help Center before buying; stored Premium specifications do not confirm those terms.

Which networks are listed?

Current provider records list ILIAD Italia, TIM and Wind Tre. Access and technology depend on the selected plan and local conditions; 5G is not guaranteed.

How much fixed data can I choose?

1GB, 2GB, 3GB, 5GB, 10GB, 20GB, 50GB or 100GB, with validity depending on allowance.

Are Premium plans selectable?

Yes: 30GB/5 days for $40, 60GB/10 days for $60 or 90GB/15 days for $80 when checked on 9 October 2026. Each includes unlimited continuation at up to 2 Mbps after the whole-plan high-speed pool is used, with no daily reset. Prices may change. Always check the product page for the latest prices before purchasing.

Is Plus the same as Premium?

No. Plus has a daily high-speed allowance; Premium has a whole-plan pool with no daily reset.

When does validity start?

On activation by connection to a supported network in Italy, not simply on installation.

Will it work throughout a ferry or mountain journey?

Continuous reception offshore, on remote trails or in tunnels is not guaranteed. Save essential details offline.

Does it include neighboring countries?

No. Compare a regional product and confirm all destinations if your trip crosses borders.
