How to Delete eSIM from iPhone, Samsung & Google Pixel 2026 — Step-by-Step Guide
Need to remove an old eSIM plan from your phone? Whether you're switching devices, selling your phone, or just clearing out expired plans, deleting an eSIM takes less than a minute. Here's the exact process for every major device.
Warning — deleting an eSIM is permanent
Once deleted, the eSIM profile is removed from your device. If you want to use the plan again on a new device, contact your provider before deleting to check if they can reissue the QR code. AloOui's 24/7 support team can help with this.
How to Delete eSIM on iPhone
Works on all eSIM-compatible iPhones (XS and later).
- Open Settings on your iPhone
- Tap Cellular (or Mobile Data depending on your region)
- Tap the eSIM plan you want to delete
- Scroll down and tap Delete eSIM
- Confirm by tapping Delete eSIM again
The eSIM profile is now permanently removed from your device.
Can't find the plan? Go to Settings → Cellular → Cellular Plans — all stored eSIM profiles are listed there, including inactive ones.
How to Delete eSIM on Samsung Galaxy
- Go to Settings → Connections → SIM Manager
- Tap the eSIM you want to remove
- Tap Delete or Remove eSIM
- Confirm deletion
On some Samsung models the path may be Settings → Connections → SIM card manager. If you don't see SIM Manager, search for "SIM" in your Settings search bar.
How to Delete eSIM on Google Pixel
- Go to Settings → Network & Internet → SIMs
- Tap the eSIM plan you want to remove
- Tap Delete
- Confirm
When Should You Delete an eSIM?
- Before selling or giving away your phone — always delete all eSIM profiles before transferring your device to someone else
- When switching to a new device — delete from the old device first, then reinstall on the new one (contact your provider for a new QR code)
- When your plan has expired — expired plans take up eSIM storage slots; delete them to free space
- To free up eSIM storage — iPhone stores up to 8 eSIM profiles; Android devices vary (typically 5–10)
Can I Delete an eSIM and Reinstall It on Another Device?
It depends on your provider. Some allow reissuance of QR codes; others issue single-use codes that cannot be reused after deletion.
For AloOui eSIMs: Contact our 24/7 support team before deleting if you want to transfer your plan to a new device. We can advise on whether your specific plan supports reissuance.
Troubleshooting — Can't Delete eSIM?
- eSIM is set as primary data line — switch your primary data line to another SIM first, then delete
- eSIM is currently active — turn off the eSIM plan before attempting to delete it
- Device is carrier-locked — some carrier-locked devices restrict eSIM management; contact your carrier
- iOS/Android not updated — update your OS and try again

Does deleting an eSIM cancel my plan?
Deleting the eSIM profile from your device removes it locally. Whether your plan is cancelled depends on your provider. For AloOui, deleting the profile does not automatically issue a refund — contact support if you have unused data.
How many eSIM profiles can I store?
iPhone: up to 8 profiles (2 active at once). Samsung and Pixel: typically 5–10 profiles depending on model. Delete unused profiles to free up slots.
Will deleting an eSIM affect my other SIM?
No. Deleting an eSIM profile only removes that specific plan. Your physical SIM and any other eSIM profiles are unaffected.
I deleted my AloOui eSIM by mistake — what do I do?
